Taking Papa Lee to Lunch at Rockaway Beach -- Post 681 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

  I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:  

This photograph was taken in Rockaway Beach, California, just south of San Francisco on the Pacific Ocean, in August 2001. 

This is my wife Linda (at age 58) and her father Lee Leland (age 90) going into Nick's Seafood Restaurant right on the beach.  Every time we visited Papa Lee in San Francisco, and several times when we visited him at his care facility in San Jose, we drove to Nick's on a weekday for lunch.  The whole family went when Linda and Paul were children and teenagers.  It was one of their favorite restaurants.  The food was excellent, and the staff greeted us like old friends every visit.
