It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.
The treasure today is the 1736 Death entry for Edward Harrington in the Waltham, Massachusetts vital records book:The marriage entry is the 11th entry in the Harrington listings:
The transcription of this record is:
"[HARRINGTON] Edward, Jan. 21, 1736, in 68th y. G.R."
"[HARRINGTON] Edward, Jan. 21, 1736, in 68th y. G.R."
The source citation for this record is:
Vital records of Waltham, Massachusetts, to the year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New-England Historic Genealogical Society, 1904), Deaths, page 270, Edward Harrington entry, 21 January 1736.
This is an entry in a published Watertown vital record book. It is a Derivative Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the death of Edward Herrington on 21 January 1736 in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Edward Harrington (1669-1736) married Mary Ockington (1669-1725) in 1692 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony. They had nine children between 1693 and 1711, all recorded in Watertown.
Edward and Mary (Ockington) Harrington are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Mary Harrington (1693-1774) who married Joseph Grout (1683-1758) in 1717.
