Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - List Some of Your Genealogy "Needs"

 Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

 It's Saturday Night again -

Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision.

1)  We all have genealogy-related tasks that we "need" to do.  What are yours?

2) Tell us about it in your own blog post, in a comment on this post, or in a Facebook post.  Please leave a link on this post if you write your own blog post.

Here's mine:

* I need to write more family stories (using Storyworth?) so that my descendants know about my life, attitudes, health, and ancestry.

*  I need to update my ebooks on Scribd about my ancestral lines.  They are ancestor lines of my great-grandparents, and descendants for several surname collections.

*  I need to organize my family history photograph collection better.

*  I need to update and add to my FOREVER files.

*  I need to narrate some of the family home movies and save them to my YouTube channel and FOREVER files.

*  I need to resolve record hints/matches and add more events and sources to my RootsMagic file for my profiles.

*  I need to learn how to update WikiTree profiles (especially notes and sources) that I have contributed long ago.

*  I need to back up my RootsMagic file more often (although iDrive does it every night).

*  I need to add my probate, land, pension file, obituary, and other transcriptions to my RootsMagic profiles.

*  I need to put downloaded files (I have about 8 years worth now) into my Ancestor Files.  I try, but it's hit and miss.

*  I need to go to the local FamilySearch Library to do more research in digital microfilm not available at home.

*  I need to maintain my blogging schedule and be more creative with topics.

*  I need to keep hosting the CVGS Research Group and DA Interest Group meetings, and writing the monthly email newsletter until they find someone to replace me.

*  I need to sort through my voluminous paper genealogy files that I haven't looked at in years and toss out the non-useful papers.

*  I need more time to do all of this.  Time while still sentient, time when still healthy, time staying alive.  I still feel very mortal and I'm proud of what I have achieved genealogy-wise.

14 is enough.  I'm sure I can think of more tasks I "need" to do.

Not quite as long as yours, but some pretty big projects on it.

Here's my short list, but "clean up" encompasses a lot! https://emptybranchesonthefamilytree.com/2023/02/saturday-night-genealogy-fun-231/
