Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from The San Francisco [Calif.] Examiner newspaper dated 15 October 1972, page 45:

The transcription of the article is:

Madeline Terry (Lorenz) Seaver (1921-1972) was born 1 February 1921 in Colville, Washington, the daughter of George C. and Daisy (Hard) Lorenz.  She died 13 October 1972 in Sa Rafael, California.  Madeline married William George Seaver (1913-1970) on 16 January 1957 in Reno, Nevada. They had no children.

I am related to William George Seaver (1913-1970) as a 9th cousin 1x removed, with a common Seaver ancestor of Robert Seaver (1608-1683).

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has a very interesting life. I am glad that I can honor Madeline Terry (Lorenz) Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
