Rehearsal Dinner in 1970 at my Grandparents Home -- Post 768 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

 I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph of Linda and I, with my father and Linda's parents and grandmother, was taken on Friday, 20 March 1970 - we had the rehearsal dinner at my grandparents house on Point Loma.  My grandmother, Emily (Auble) Carringer (1899-1977) was an expert hostess - very prim and proper and traditional - one of the most important persons in my life.  This was in the dining room in front of the sliding door out to the southeast patio.  My mother probably took this photograph.  I wish she was in it, as well as her parents.

The people in the photo are (from the left):

*  Lee Severt Leland (1911-2002), Linda's father.
*  Edna May (Schaffner) Leland (1913-1979), Linda's mother.
*  Frederick Walton Seaver (1911-1983), my father.
*  Linda Joan Leland (1942-????), my bride-to-be
*  Edna Catherine "Oo-Hoo" (McKnew) Schaffner (1884-1974), Linda's maternal grandmother.
*  Randall Jeffrey Seaver (1943-????), the lucky groom-to-be.

This is all part of our family history.
