4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

The DeCamp genealogy book by George Morrison notes that a Joannes DeCamp was baptized on 2 April 1677 in the Dutch church in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Laurent and Aeltje (de Mandeville) De Camp.  There is no further record of her, assumed to be a female. The feminine name in Dutch would have been Joanna or Johanna.

Several Kelsey genealogies report that a "Miss DeCamp" (born 1674) married Joseph Kelsey, probably about 1696.

According to the Kelsey genealogies, there were no other DeCamp families in the New York or New Jersey area at that time.

Joannes De Camp married Joseph Kelsey in about 1697 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  They had nine children, all probably born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, but there are no birth records for them[1]:

*  Mercy Kelsey (1698-1760), married 1722 Richard Cutter (1682-1756).
*  Hannah Kelsey (1700-1777), married 1726 James Badgley (1699-1777).
*  Joseph Kelsey (1702-1753)
*  Mary Kelsey (1704-1748), married 1725 John Olliver (1700-1766).
*  Benjamin Kelsey (1706-1765), married 1741 Hannah Atkinson (1708-????).
*  Daniel Kelsey (1708-1759), married 1730 Jemima Clark (1701-1759).
*  Ruth Kelsey (1710-1750), married 1730 Benjamin Ellstone (1712-1760).
*  Phebe Kelsey (1713-????), married 1734 John Wood (1709-????).
*  Lydia Kelsey (1715-????), married 1740 Lewis Winans (1718-????).

Joannes (De Camp) Kelsey died before 1739.  There is no known burial place for her.
