Amanuensis Monday -- 1951 Will of LeGrande Seaver of Warren County, New York

Record of the Last Will and Testament of LeGRANDE
SEAVER, Deceased, together with Decree admitting same to
probate.

"LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT"

I, LeGRANDE SEAVER, residing at Miller Hill, Town of Queensbury,
County of Warren, and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, do
hereby make, publish and declare this to be my LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, here-
by revoking and making void all former Wills by me made at any time heretofore
made.

FIRST: I direct that all my just debts, if any, and my funeral
and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as practicable after my death.

SECOND:  After the payment of my just debts, if any, and funeral
and testamentary expenses as aforesaid, I give, devise and bequeath all the
rest, residue and remainder of my property, both real and personal and where0
soever situated, of which I may die seized or possessed, or to which I my in
any way entitle at the time of my death, to my beloved wife, GRACE A.
SEAVER.  I have in mind, but make no provisions for my son, LeGRANDE SEAVER,
Jr.,, and my daughter, FRANCES L. ROOT, for reasons well known to them.

THIRD:  I hereby name, constitute and appoint my beloved wife, GRACE
A. SEAVER, of Miller Hill, Town of Queensbury, County of Warren and State of
New York to be the sole Executrix of this my LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, hereby
giving my said Executrix full power and authority to sell, convey, lease or
mortgage any real estate, or interest therein which I may own, or be entitled
to, at the time of my death and I further direct that no bond or other security
be required of my said Executrix.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal on the 10th
day of December, 1951.

WE, the undersigned, do certify that on the 10th day of December,
1951, in the Town of Queensbury, County of Warren and State of New York, the
within named Testator, LeGRANDE SEAVER, in our presence duly signed, sealed,
published and declared the foregoing Instrument, to be his LAST WILL AND TESTA-
MENT, and we, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each 
other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the execution thereof
and have written opposite our names our respective places of residence.

MAURICE E. BRAGG residing at Miller Hill, Town of Queensbury, N.Y.
JOHN W. REARDON residing at 8 Juvet Street, Glens Falls, N.Y.

COUNTY OF WARREN: SS:  It appearing upon the proof duly taken in respect to the
Last Will and Testament of LeGRANDE SEAVER late of the Town of Queensbury, in 
the County of Warren, deceased, that the said Last Will and Testament was duly
executed, that the said LeGrande Seaver was at the time of executing the same
competent to devise real and personal property and was not under any restraint,
the said Last Will and Testament together with the decree admitting the same to
probate are hereby signed and certified by me according to the provisions of the
Laws of the State of New York this 9th day of February, 1953.

Myron LeGrande Seaver (1882-1953) was born 18 October 1882 in Washington County, New York, the son of Charles Howe and Jennie Milliman (Filkins) Seaver.  He married in about 1924 Grace A. Smalley (1902-1986).  They had two children:

*  LeGrande G. Seaver (1926-2017), married 1947 to Helena G. Palmer (1926-1997).
*  Frances L. Seaver (1928-2014), married John M. Bowe (1930-1995).

The pages above are a Probate Court clerk's typescript copy, transcribed to the court record book and therefore a Derivative Source (although there was testimony that the original will filed in the court was transcribed carefully and exactly),  It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the relationships, dates and places noted therein.

I am a third cousin five times removed to Myron LeGrande Seaver (1882-1953), with the common Seaver ancestor being 7th great-grandfather Joseph Seaver (1672-1754).
