Randy and Stanley With Cowboy Gear -- Post 795 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph is of Stanley Seaver (on the left, age 4-5) with Randy Seaver (on the right, age 7-8) from about 1951-1952.  Our "cowboys on the radio" fascination (The Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, there were probably more) had started and we received all of the paraphernalia (hats, gun belts, holsters, cap pistols), probably for birthdays or Christmas.  I think we received shirts, pants, chaps and boots in the next year or two.  And then we got a television in about 1954 and could see our heroes.

Stan was right-handed and I was left-handed.  There were all sorts of fantastic gun battles and chases around our apartment house, the neighbor apartment house, and the Carringer's Fern Street home with the gardens and greenhouse.  Stan and I would lie in bed at night in our bunk beds and create dialogue for The Lone Ranger voices or Hopalong Cassidy voices or plan games.

I colorized the black and white photo using the MyHeritage tools.

This photograph is all part of our family history.
