Betty and Emily Carringer in the Backyard in the Late 1930s -- Post 807 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

This photograph is of my mother, Betty Virginia Carringer (1919-2002) and her mother, my grandmother, Emily Kemp (Auble) Carringer (1899-1977) in the mid-to-late1930s in San Diego.  Betty could be anywhere from age 15 to 20 in this photograph.  I think she is older - like age 20 - than younger, so perhaps even 1940. They are in the backyard gardens at 2130 Fern Street with their home in the background.

I colorized a black and white photo using the MyHeritage tools.  Unfortunately, parts of the photograph show grayish hands and gray legs on my mother, and I don't know if the color of the dresses and coats are true.

This photograph is part of my family history.
