Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

Harold Edward Seaver (1904-1978) was born 22 January 1904 in San Francisco, California, the son of Charles Henry and Lillian Dora (Popp) Seaver. He died 20 April 1978 in Paradise, California. He married Beatrice Edith Smart (1908-1998) on 21 January 1929 in San Francisco, California. They had two children:
* Patricia Ann Seaver (1932-2022), married c1959 Henry Joseph Sosso (1929-2018).
* Nadine Claire Seaver (1937-????), married 1956 Rodney Paul Kinney (1932-2000).
Harold Edward Seaver (1904-1978) is my 8th cousin twice removed, with the common Seaver ancestor being Robert Seaver (1608-1683) who settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this is one of them. Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person's obituary is relatively short and informative. I am glad that I can honor Harold Edward Seaver today.
You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
