"Local Maps and Where to Find Them"
Maps are an essential component in the study of local history, but local maps can be a challenge to track down. Lisa will help you learn where to go, both in person and online, in your search for this sometimes elusive, but important, resource.
Lisa Robinson has lived in the San Lorenzo Valley since 1990. She has been President of the Board of Directors of the San Lorenzo Valley Historical Society, which owns and operates the San Lorenzo Valley Museum, since 2008, where she manages the exhibitions and collections.
She is the author of The San Lorenzo Valley (Arcadia Press) and editor of Redwood Logging and Conservation in the Santa Cruz Mountains – A Split History (Santa Cruz MAH). She also writes local history columns for San Lorenzo Valley news publications.
