Carringer and Kemp (?) Famiies in About 1920 -- (Not So) Wordless Wednesday #880

 I found another priceless (to me) photograph in my computer file folders:

There is no writing on the back of this photograph. Based on the ages of the known people, and the presence of a baby, my conclusion is that this may be a photograph taken by my grandfather, Lyle L. Carringer, in the 1920 time frame.

The persons in the photograph are (left to right):

* Della (Smith) Carringer (1862-1944), wife of Austin Carringer, mother of Lyle Carringer and grandmother of Betty Carringer

* Emily (Auble) Carringer (1899-1977), wife of Lyle Carringer, mother of Betty Carringer, and daughter of Georgia Auble

* unknown female, perhaps one of the daughters of James and Bertha (Fuller) Kemp.

* Austin Carringer (1853-1946) (holding baby), husband of Della Carringer, father of Lyle Carringer, grandfather of Betty Carringer

* Betty Virginia Carringer (1919-2002) (held by Austin Carringer), daughter of Lyle and Emily (Auble) Carringer

* Georgianna (Kemp) Auble (1868-1951), mother of Emily (Auble) Carringer, grandmother of Betty Carringer

* unknown female, perhaps Bertha (Fuller) Kemp (1874-1951), wife of James Alexander Kemp

* unknown male, perhaps James Alexander Kemp (1872-1934), brother of Georgianna (Kemp) Auble.

I do not recognize the setting for this photograph from the known San Diego area homes. It may be the James Alexander Kemp home in Whittier or El Monte near Los Angeles, California.

This photograph is a part of my family history. I enhanced and colorized it using the MyHeritage photo tools.
