I've used FREE Artificial Intelligence tools to create biographies, poems, songs and podcasts about my ancestors lives, plus my genealogy research and family history in the recent past. Every ancestor lives a unique life with unique relationships and life stories.
Today, I want to share a poem, song, podcast and video about my third great-grandfather, Abraham Kemp (1795-1881) of Ontario, #60 on my Ahnentafel list.
I requested ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, and Claude (all FREE AI tools) to create poems and song lyrics, and Google NotebookLM to create an Audio Overview (a podcast) and a Video Overview (a presentation), to describe and celebrate the life of Abraham Kemp (1795-1881). I uploaded a PDF of my genealogical sketch which has all of the information I have about the life of Abraham Kemp in 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks - Week 53: #60, Abraham Kemp (1795-after 1881).
ABRAHAM'S STORY
In Fredericksburgh’s frost, where the wild winds did roam,
Born in ’95, Abraham Kemp called it home.
First son of John, with Mary’s love by his side,
A pioneer’s heart, where courage did abide.
Eldest of nine, in a cabin of cheer,
He toiled on the land, year by rugged year.
With siblings aplenty, he learned to be strong,
A brother, a guide, in a family so long.
At seventeen bold, when the war drums did beat,
He marched with the Lennox, no thought of retreat.
Through the War of 1812, he stood firm and tall,
A private defending his country’s call.
For service, a pension, and land to his name,
Crown grants in the counties where his future he’d claim.
With Sarah, his bride, in eighteen-eighteen,
In Hillier’s green fields, their love grew serene.
Eleven they raised, though one slipped away,
A family of toil, through night and through day.
Waity, Mary, Stephen, and more,
Each child a new tale, each life to explore.
From Consecon’s shores to Ameliasburg’s plain,
They sowed and they reaped through the sun and the rain.
When Sarah departed, the hearth felt the cold,
Yet Abraham, steadfast, grew wise as he old.
Sephrona he wed, with her children in tow,
A blended new clan, through life’s ebb and flow.
In Hastings they settled, then Norfolk’s embrace,
With sons all around, he found his last place.
At eighty-five years, in Windham’s soft light,
He lived with his son, in the glow of the night.
A farmer, a father, a soldier, a friend,
His story, a thread in a tale without end.
From Upper Canada’s birth to Dominion’s new dawn,
He saw forests fall and new railways born.
Through war and through peace, through joy and through pain,
Abraham Kemp carved his mark on the plain.
His Bible, now kept, tells of lives long since passed,
A lineage vast, in Ontario cast.
From frontier to future, his children did roam,
Building towns, raising homes, where the wild once had grown.
Oh, Abraham Kemp, of two centuries’ span,
A pioneer bold, a true family man.
Your legacy lives in the fields and the kin,
In the heart of old Canada, where dreams did begin.

6) These stories, told in verse, song, voice and video are part of my genealogy and family research. My hope is that they will be passed down to my grandchildren and their descendants to highlight the importance of sharing stories, memories, admiration, and love of our ancestors. I will add them to my Google Drive and to my YouTube channel and my FOREVER account.
