Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1769 Burial of John Hill (1725-1769) in Hilperton, Wiltshire

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1769 burial record of John Hill in the Hilperton, Wiltshire, Church of England parish burial records.

The burial record for John Hill is the fifth record on the page:

The transcription of this record is

"[1769] Sep'r 9:   Buried John Hill"

The source citation is:

John Hill (1725-1769) was baptized 23 March 1725/6 in Warminster St. Denys with St. Laurence Church of England parish church, the son of Thomas and Sarah (Adlam) Hill. He married Patience Ring (1723-1791) on 3 October 1743 in Hilperton, Wiltshire.  John Hill was buried 9 September 1769 in Hilperton, Wiltshire.

John and Patience (Ring) Hill are my 5th great-grandparents, through their son John Hill (1765-1825) who married Ann Warren (1764-????) in 1788 in Hilperton, Wiltshire.
