Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Your Genealogy Database Statistics

Hey genea-folks,
it's Saturday Night again,

 time for more Genealogy Fun!

Your mission this week, should you decide to accept it, is to:

1)
If you have your family tree research in a Genealogy Management Program (GMP), whether a computer software program or an online family tree, figure out how to find how many persons, places, sources, etc. are in your database (hint:  the Help button is your friend!)

2)  Tell us which GMP you use, and how many persons, places, sources, etc. are in your database(s) today in a blog post of your own, in a comment to this blog post, or in a Facebook status or Google+ stream comment.

Here's mine:

I use RootsMagic 7 at present for my Genealogy Management Program of choice.  In File > Properties this window popped up:

The information in this window says my current database has:

*  People: 46,133
*  Families:  18,451
*  Events: 148,142
*  Alternate names: 1,386
*  Places: 9,236
*  Sources: 1,373
*  Citations: 73,124
*  Repositories: 76
*  To-do tasks: 144
*  Multimedia items: 1,128
*  Multimedia links: 2,103
*  Addresses: 10
*  Correspondence: 19

If I do this in other programs, the process is:

*  Family Tree Maker 16 (and earlier):  Tools > Family File Statistics
*  Family Tree Maker 2008 (and later):  in "Plan" Workspace, click "More" button
*  Legacy Family Tree 8: Help > General Information

*  Ancestry Member Tree:  Select your tree, then click on "Tree Pages," and select "Tree Overview."
*  MyHeritage Tree:  Click on "Go to Family Stats" on your home page.

While I use each of these programs, the only program file that is "up-to-date" is my RootsMagic 7 database.

If your readers need to know in Legacy you go to the File toolbar and click the File Properties button.

I use Legacy Family Tree 8.0 Deluxe Edition and have two files, one for my family and one for my husband's family. The totals for both files: Individuals 1,147; Families 388; Alternate Names 545; Master Locations 271; Sources 264; Citations 1,845; Events 609; Media 912; Media Links 1,813; Repositories 25; Event Addresses 61; Mailing Addresses 18; To Do 39.

After 20 years of researching, I have not been able to tear down the 1870 Brick Wall, but I'm still chipping away!

I have a family tree 2009 and have not added to it in some time. Was having trouble updating files recently. Found out no longer compatible with ancestry .
I need to buy a new program.
My family tree has 1309 people.

I have 6775 people, 2398 families, 15,546 events, 1601 places, 1373 sources, 8042 citations. I use RootsMagic. I used to use PAF and most of my sources were in Notes. I'm working to moving them into sources, using free form so I can just copy and paste.

I use Family Tree Maker 16. I didn't know I could look up this information.

I have 24,555 people (and I recently trimmed my tree by about 1000), 8259 marriages, 20 generations, 5510 surnames, 5148 places, and 376 sources. Randy you have about double the number of people and places, but many more sources. I'm going to have to get to work!
