RootsTech 2013, Part 2 -- Post 486 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

Linda and I attended RootsTech 2013 in Salt Lake City, and I took some photos of things and persons.  I took some of these with my digital camera, I think, rather than my iPhone:

On March 22, Tim Sullivan of Ancestry.com did an update of Ancestry before the two Keynote addresses.  Fourp lus years later, it's interesting to see how this has worked out.  Here are some of his slides:

1)  Announcing the updated Ancestry.com mobile app:

2)  Information about the Ancestry.com users:

3)  AncestryDNA has 120,000 customer samples:

2017:  AncestryDNA recently announced they have 5 million DNA samples.

4)  Ancestry is going to invest $100 million in new content:

4)  Ancestry announced their partnership with FamilySearch on the U.S. Probates project:

2017:  The indexing was completed in September 2015 and the content was on Ancestry in September.

More next week...

NOTE:  Here is the 2013 Geneabloggers Compendium if you want to relive this event -   http://www.geneamusings.com/2013/03/rootstech-2013-geneabloggers-review.html
