I am speaking at the South Orange County, California, Genealogical Society (SOCCGS) on Saturday, 17 May in Mission Viejo, California, at the Mission Viejo Family History Center main building (corner of Hillcrest Drive and Marguerite Parkway). The meeting starts at 10 a.m. with a business meeting.
The publicity for the meeting on the SOCCGS website says:
I look forward to seeing my genealogy friends at the SOCCGS meeting. These meetings are always fun because I meet new people and new Genea-Musings readers, while trying to expand the genealogy education of their members. Orange County has three very active and speaker-friendly genealogical societies, and they are within 100 miles of my home.
Did I mention that my daughter and her family live in Orange County now? I'm not going to visit them this time because of time constraints, but I could and now we have a guest bedroom there.
I hope to see many more of my Genea-Musings readers at this event - come and beat the heat in an air conditioned building and learn something about the online, connected and mobile world of genealogy.
