Bride Linda and the Moms -- Post 355 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I'm posting old family photographs from my collection on Wednesdays, but they won't be wordless posts like others do - I simply am incapable of having a wordless post.

Here is one of the most precious (to me) images from my Seaver/Carringer/Leland family collection:

This photograph was taken on 21 March 1970, the occasion was my wedding to Linda Leland.  The setting was the Bride's Room in the Chula Vista Presbyterian Church in Chula Vista, California.

From left to right:

*  Betty Virginia (Carringer) Seaver - my mother
*  Linda Joan Leland - my bride-to-be
*  Edna May (Schaffner) Leland - Linda's mother

I did not recall seeing the flowers in my mother's hair, or whatever was in Edna's hair, before I saw this photograph today.

I don't know who took this picture - I'm guessing that it was one of the bridesmaids using their own camera, or my mother's camera.  There are several similar photographs of groups in the Bride's Room.

Back in the 1960s and 1970s hats were popular that were similar to "head bands" that were decorated, sometimes by feathers or ribbons.

That was my favorite choice, as I was usually uncomfortable in regular hats.
