I'm posting old family photographs from my collection on Wednesdays, but they won't be wordless posts like others do - I simply am incapable of having a wordless post.
Here is one of the most precious (to me) images from my Seaver/Carringer/Leland family collection:
This is a photograph of my lovely wife, Linda (Leland) Seaver and her father, Leo Severt Leland (1911-2002) on 4 April 1970, two weeks after our wedding. After our honeymoon to Acapulco, we went to San Francisco for a reception at the Leland home on 47th Avenue in the Sunset District. Many Leland family and friends attended, and we had a great time.
The Leland home was two levels, with the living area on the second floor and the garage, workshop and party room on the ground level. The reception was held in the party room downstairs.
I wonder what they said to each other to make them laugh and smile so much for this photograph! I don't recall who took the photograph (and others from the same event).
