Saturday Night Genealogy Fun - Make One Genealogy-Related Resolution/Goal for 2019

It's Saturday Night -

time for more Genealogy Fun!

Your mission, should you decide to accept it (cue the Mission Impossible! music) is to:

1)  Did you make any New Years Resolutions, or state Goals and Objectives, for genealogy and family history research in 2019?  If so, tell us about them.

2)  If not, then make ONE resolution, or state one goal, for your genealogy research that you are determined to keep during 2019.  We'll check on progress toward that resolution/goal during the year in SNGF (if I remember!).

3)  Tell us about it in your own blog post, in a Comment to this blog post, or in a Facebook status post.  Leave a link in Comments to any post you make.

Here's mine:

I have NOT made resolutions or stated goals for 2019, based on my seemingly poor performance in recent years.  I did complete my 2018 goal about making a spreadsheet for my DNA matches.

The ONE, most important, genealogy Goal that I have for 2019 is to:

Continue compiling and publishing ancestor biographies in my 52 Ancestors series.  I started five years ago with my great-grandparents, decided to use my ahnentafel list of ancestors as the road map, and am almost finished with my 6th great-grandparents - 258 biographies to date.  By the end of 2019, I should be well into my 7th great-grandparents.

I also want to add these biographies to the ancestor profiles in my Ancestry tree, the FamilySearch Family Tree, the Geni World Tree, and the WikiTree world tree.

My problem is time.  I spend a lot of time reading blogs, watching webinars and videos, writing blog posts and the supporting research, and adding Ancestry Hints to my RootsMagic family tree database.  Then there is life itself - I'm not getting any younger!

I didn't realize until I went back and checked that the goal I chose for 2019 is the same one I had for 2018.

My post will be up tomorrow morning, but I want to thank you, Randy, for hosting Saturday Night Genealogy Fun all year and providing some really fun topics. I look forward to this every weekend!

Good question for the end of the year, Randy. My genea-resolution is to finish the book I've been writing on my husband's grandmother's family. I've written it, and it's been edited by others. But in September, I got stuck finishing the footnotes, indexing, adding photos and then uploading to the publishing company.

2018 The above is exactly what I wrote as my 2017 goal. I made some progress. I have photos needed and found (but not yet seen) videos on CreateSpace. I plan to look at them this weekend.

However, I did get a huge genea-organization project done. I wrote about it here.
