Michael Metcalf (1706-1771) was the son of Michael and Lydia (White) Metcalf of Medfield and later Medway, Massachusetts.  He married Melatiah Hamant (1704-1751) in Medway, Massachusetts in 1728.  They moved to Keene, New Hampshire after 1745, and died there.  

Michael and Melatiah (Hamant) Metcalf are my 6th great-grandparents.  I descend through their son, Burgess Metcalf (1741-1816).
