Seavers in the News - Effie E. Seaver Dies in 1930 in Delaware

It's time for another edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from The Morning News [Wilmington, Delaware] newspaper dated 9 December 1930:

The transcription of the article is:

Mrs. Effie E. Seaver

Funeral services for Mrs. Effie E. Seaver, wife of George M. Seaver, of 901 Gilpin avenue, who died yesterday will be held in Providence, R.I., today.

The source citation for the article is:

"Effie E. Seaver" The Morning News [Wilmington, Del.] newspaper, obituary, Tuesday, 9 December 1930, page 2, column 3, Mrs. Effie E. Seaver obituary;   Newspapers.com   (https://www.newspapers.com : accessed 14 March 2019).

No age, birth date or birth place was provided for Effie E. Seaver, and I couldn't find a George M. Seaver married to an Effie (or similar) in my RootsMagic family tree.  One clue was Rhode Island.

I had to search for Effie Seaver in the 1930 U.S. census, and easily found Effie (age 26, born Maine) and her husband George N. Seaver (age 26, born Rhode Island, and their two children (Marjorie age 7, Robert age 2).  It turned out that George N. Seaver is George Nathaniel Seaver (1904-1965), the son of George Franklin Seaver and Susan Alice Andrews of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.  Effie E. Brown was born in 1902 in Dexter, Maine, the daughter of Welcome H. and Elva M. (--?--) Brown.

I am probably related to these Seaver persons, but I'm missing the link to my Seaver line. I have added Effie and their two children to the existing "Seaver bush" to my RootsMagic family tree.

                                  =============================================

Disclosure:  I have a paid subscription to Newspapers.com and have used it extensively to find articles about my ancestral and one-name families.
