The treasure today is the 1725 death record of Abigail (Smith) Fisher in the Medfield, Massachusetts town vital record book:
The Abigail Fisher death record is:
"[FISHER] Abigail, w. John, Feb. 23, 1724-5."
The source citation for this record is:
Vital Records of Medfield, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1903), Deaths, page 211, Abigail Fisher entry, 23 February 1724/5.
This is a Derivative Source record for the death of Abigail (Smith) Fisher, wife of John Fisher. It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the death date and place, and the names of her husband The original record is probably a Medfield town record that has been lost over the centuries.
Abigail Smith (1686-1725) was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Clarke) Smith of Medfield. John Fisher (1677-1727) and Abigail (Smith) Fisher married on 23 April 1705 in Medfield. They are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Abigail Fisher (1711-1785) who married John Plimpton (1708-1756) in 1731 in Medfield.
