Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1673 Birth of Elisabeth Foster (1673-1742) in Billerica, Massachusetts

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1673 birth entry for Elisabeth Foster in the Billerica, Massachusetts town vital record book:
The birth entry is the first Elisabeth in the Foster section:

The birth record transcription for Elizabeth Foster is:

"[FOSTER] Elisabeth [dup. Elizabeth], d. Joseph and Allice [dup. Alice], Oct. 7, 1673"

The source citation for this record is:

Vital Records of Billerica, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1908), Births, page 78, Elisabeth Foster entry, 7 October 1673, daughter of Joseph and Allice.

This is an entry in a transcribed and alphabetized vital record book for Billerica, Massachusetts, so it is a Derivative Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the birth of Elisabeth Foster and her parents first names.

Elisabeth Foster (1673-1742) was the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Gorton) Foster of Billerica She married John Wilson (1673-after 1717) Elizabeth Foster on 27 October 1694 in Billerica, Massachusetts.  John Wilson was the son of John and Johanna (Carter) Wilson of Woburn.  John and Elizabeth (Foster) Wilson were parents of 13 children.

John and Elizabeth (Foster) Wilson are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Joanna Willson (1701-1786), who married  Hezekiah Sawtell (1703-1779) in 1723 in Groton, Massachusetts.
