Disclosure: I receive a complimentary all-access subscription from Ancestry.com, for which I am thankful. Ancestry.com has provided material considerations for travel expenses to meetings, and has hosted events and meals that I have attended in Salt Lake City, in past years.

I appreciate you keeping us up to date about any new or updated databases on Ancestry. However, it would also be nice if someone (like someone from Ancestry) would also let us know when a database is completely removed.

Case in point, just 5 or 6 days ago, I was using the database entitled "Germany, Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1518-1921." Then all of a sudden it was gone, and the records are not to be found anywhere else on their website. I talked to someone at Ancestry about it, and needless to say, she was less than helpful. She did not have an answer, nor could she tell me the reason why it was no longer available. This is extremely frustrating because the records that I need to research a branch of my family were only being found in that one database. So now, I am left with nothing!!

Ancestry loves to boast about all their new additions, but they fail to tell anyone about those databases that they remove.

Who knows, maybe you can get an answer that I can not....

Thanks
