"Magic" Multi- Photo Scanner Now Available On the MyHeritage Mobile App

I received this information from Daniel Horowitz of MyHeritage today:

===================================

I’m delighted to share that we recently added a powerful, state-of-the-art Photo Scanner to the MyHeritage mobile app! Photo Scanner enables quick and easy scanning of entire album pages or multiple loose photos in a single tap.

Photo Scanner is the perfect way to efficiently preserve family photos and save them to your family site on MyHeritage. Watch the video to see how easy it is to scan and organize your photos with Photo Scanner.

 You can read more about Photo Scanner on our blog post.

==================================

This Photo Scanner mobile app from MyHeritage is not free to use  - you can scan up to 5 album pages for FREE.  To do more. you must have a Photos $49.99 yearly subscription (a Complete MyHeritage subscriber gets 25% off).  You should have a MyHeritage account and link it to the MyHeritage app.  The scanned photographs are separated and squared up and then you can enhance, colorize, animate and repair your photographs right from the mobile app using the MyHeritage Photo Tools.  The photographs then appear in your Photos page on MyHeritage.

Dedicated Genea-Musings readers will recall that MyHeritage released the Reimagine app last year, but it was a $7.99 monthly subscription to use it extensively.  I scanned and enhanced and colorized hundreds of photographs last year from my photo albums and loose photographs.

Here is a photo from my camera before I used the MyHeritage Photo Scanner mobile app:

And here is the lower photograph after enhancing and colorizing on the app, and saved on the MyHeritage Photos page, and downloaded to my desktop computer:

I can now finish scanning, colorizing and saving the other 10 photo albums and the hundreds of loose photographs I have from 1918 to 2024!

                                              ==================================

Disclosure: I receive a complimentary subscription to MyHeritage, and have received other material consideration in past years. I uploaded my autosomal DNA raw data to their DNA product. I am a subscriber to Family Tree Webinars and love it. I am a paid subscriber to the Reimagine mobile app. This does not affect my objective analysis of MyHeritage products.
