It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.
The treasure today is the 1732 birth entry for Jasper Partridge in the Medway, now Norfolk county, Massachusetts birth records:The birth record is near the middle of the image:
The transcription of this record is::
"Partridge Jasper b. April 15, 1732 son of Jonathan & Elizabeth (Learnard)"
The source citation for this record is (using Evidence Explained 4th edition template):
Rev. E.O. Jameson (compiler), "Births in Medway, Mass., 1714-1744," New England Historical & Genealogical Register, Volume 49 (December 1895), page 447, Jasper Partridge birth entry, 15 April 1732.
This is an entry abstracted from the Medway, Massachusetts town records. It is a Derivative Source, with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of Jasper's birth date and the names of his parents.
Jasper Partridge (1732-1821) was born 15 April 1732 in Medway, now Norfolk county, Massachusetts, the son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Learnard) Partridge. Jasper died in 1821 in Gustavus, Trumbull County, Ohio. He married (1) Mary Rice (1737-1767), the daughter of Jonas and Jean (Hall) Rice, on 12 October 1756 in Barre, Worcester County, Massachusetts. They had seven children. After Mary died, Jasper married (2) Joy Nichols (1736-????) in about 1769 in Vermont. They had four children.
Jasper and Mary (Rice) Partridge are my 6th great-grandparents, through their son Thomas Partridge (1758-1828) who married Hannah Wakeman (1763-1814).
