52 Relatives: Stanley Richmond Seaver (1905-1910) of Massachusetts

 I have posted over 500 genealogical sketches of  my ancestors back through the 7th great-grandparents and a number of close relatives - see the list in 52 Ancestors/Relatives Biographies.

This "52 Relatives" theme is a weekly series to document the lives of siblings of my ancestors with relatively short genealogical sketches, including important events, and with source citations.  These relatives lived and died within a family structure, and deserve a genealogical sketch - they were integral parts and important persons in the lives of my ancestral families.  I will post the sketches on my Ancestry Member Tree and in the FamilySearch Family Tree.

 =================================

Stanley Richmond Seaver, the third child and first son of Frederick Walton and Alma Bessie (Richmond) Seaver,  was born on 20 October 1905 at home 116 Lawrence Street in Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[1]

He appeared in the census on 1 April 1910 at 116 Lawrence Street (ED 1745) in Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.
[2]

He died of scarlet fever on 24 April 1910 at the age of 4
years, 6 months and 4 days in Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[3] Stanley was buried on 26 April 1910 at Evergreen Cemetery in Leominster, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.[4]

An obituary in the Fitchburg Sentinel newspaper dated 25 April 1910 noted the sad occasion:

Stanley Richmond, four years old son of Fred W. and Alma R. Seaver died at their home, 116 Lawrence street, Sunday, with scarlet fever, with which he had been ill for two weeks. The funeral was this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with prayer services at the house. The body was taken to Leominster for burial in Evergreen cemetery.”

His three older sisters recall that during his illness he was isolated in a room and only their mother could go in to bring food, help him, and hold him.  My Aunt Marion recalls sticking her finger through the keyhole in the door just to touch him and to talk with him in his last days.
