Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week.
1) Attended the Chula Vista Genealogical Society (CVGS) Board Meeting on Wednesday and reported on the monthly newsletter, Research Group meeting, and DNA Interest Group meeting.
2) Wrote, edited and published the Family History Gazette, the CVGS monthly newsletter.
3) Attended the San Diego Genealogical Society (SDGS) monthly program meeting on Saturday. Colin Whitney described the California Pioneer Certificate Program and three speakers described their own research about California pioneers.
4) Participated in Mondays With Myrt last Monday (5 August), and we discussed Jill's Lulu book creation and my Devier Sith AI crafted poem.
5) Transcribed the 1775 Will of Hepsabeth Hammant (1699-1791) of Suffolk County, Massachusetts for the Amanuensis Monday theme.
13) Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and source citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 73,579 persons in my RootsMagic family tree (up 35), and 147,092 source citations (up 11). TreeShared 87 new and updated profiles with my Ancestry tree. Resolved 158 Ancestry Hints. My Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Record Hints with 26,291 to be resolved, but I work on them several times a week.
14) Wrote 16 Genea-Musings blog posts last week (Sunday through Saturday), of which one was a press release. The most viewed post last week was "The Blacksmith's Tale" - A Genealogy Poem and Song Created by Artificial Intelligence with over 262 views. Genea-Musings had about 200,000 page views last week and over 714,000 views for the past month.
