Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week.
1) Attended the in-person Chula Vista Genealogical society (CVGS) Annual Picnic at Sam and Terri Seat's home in Bonita, with 17 in attendance. We talked a lot, ate barbecue, and played Genealogy Bingo.
2) Attended the GeneaBloggers Premium Zoom meeting on Saturday with 12 in attendance. We talked about how and why we blog.
3) Searched for and transcribed the 1759 Will of John Hill (1707-1759) of Fairfield, Connecticut for the Amanuensis Monday theme.
11) Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and source citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 73,328 persons in my RootsMagic family tree (up 30), and 146,973 source citations (up 30). TreeShared 152 new and updated profiles with my Ancestry tree. Resolved 444 Ancestry Hints. My Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Record Hints with 21,150 to be resolved, but I work on them several times a week.
12) Wrote 17 Genea-Musings blog posts last week (Sunday through Saturday), of which two were a press release. The most viewed post last week was Using ChatGPT-4o to Create a Genealogy Research Plan with over 187 views. Genea-Musings had about 48,600 page views last week and over 245,700 views for the month of June to date.
