Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This obituary provides a brief summary of the family of Harold W. Seaver, but not much about his education, employment, or associations.
Harold Willard Seaver (1923-1980) was born 7 February 1923 in Whitesville, New York, the son of Orville Dudley and Julia Sherman (Ainsworth) Seaver. He died 4 November 1980 in West Henrietta, New York. He married Eleanor Ray Standley (1926-2008) on 17 September 1949 in Fulton, Arkansas. They had six children:
* Julia Irene Seaver (1948-????), married Everett Sayers.
* Gloria Ray Seaver (1949-????), married Richard Adams.
* Harold Andrew Seaver (1951-1990).
* David Marshall Seaver (1952-????).
* John W. Seaver (1958-????).
* Michael Yancy Seaver (1961-1997), married Kathleen Cary.
Harold Willard Seaver (1923-1980) is my 7th cousin once removed, with a common Seaver ancestor of my 7th great-grandfather, Joseph Seaver (1672-1754).
There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this is one of them. Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has an obituary with not much information I am glad that I can honor Harold Willard Seaver today.
You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
