Treasure Chest Thursday - 1703 Death Record for Mary (Moore) (Ward) Ston (1642-1703) in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1703 death record for Mary (Moore) (Ward) Stone in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay:

The entry for Mary Ston is the first entry for the Ston surname on this image:

The transcription of the information on this record is:

"STON (see Stone, Stoon), Mary, w. Dea. Danill, Jan. 10, 1702-3."

The source citation for this census record is:

Vital Records of Sudbury, Massachusetts to the year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1903), Deaths, page 326, Mary Ston, wife of Danill Ston, 10 January 1702-3.

This is a Derivative Source record (because it is compiled from a town record book and then alphabetized and published) with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the name andbirth date of Daniell Stone, and the names of his parents.

Mary Moore (1642-1703) was born before 8 January 1641/2 in Barkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Rice) Moore.  She died 10 January 1702/3 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.  She married Daniel Stone (1644-1719), as her second husband,  on 22 November 1667 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.   Daniel and Mary (Moore) (Ward) Stone had at least 8 children.

Daniel and Mary (Moore) (Ward) Stone are my 8th great-grandparents, through their daughter Mary Stone (1677-1764) who married Jonas Rice (1673-1753) in 1702.
