4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):
Joanna Healey was born 29 July 1718 in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, the daughter of William and Mary (Samborne) Healey[1-2,4].

The William Healey family was briefly treated in Benjamin Chase, History of Old Chester From 1719 to 1869 (Auburn, N.H. : the author, 1869)[2], in the William Healey family sketch.

The book,  Underhill Genealogy, Volume 4, by Josephine C. Frost, published in 1932 provided the information about the John and Joanna (Healey) Underhill family[1].

Joanna was married in Chester, Rockingham County, New Hampshire to John Underhill on 21 October 1741 by Rev. Flagg[1].  John Underhill (1721-1793) was the son of Sampson and Elizabeth (Ambrose) Underhill of Chester.  John and Joanna (Healey) Underhill had ten children, all born in Chester, New Hampshire[1]:

*  Betty Underhill (1742-1806), married Samuel Buswell (1741-1827) in 1764.
*  William Underhill (1744-1780), married Abigail Choate (1747-1810) in about 1767.
*  John Underhill (1745-1816), married Hannah Colby (1745-????) in about 1767.
*  Molly Underhill (1747-1835), married James Pierce (1743-1796) in 1765.
*  Moses Underhill (1749-1838), married Rachel Lufkin (1771-????) in about 1787.
*  David Underhill (1751-1827), married Jemima Blake (1758-1829) in 1792.
*  Samuel Underhill (1753-1828), married Sarah Underhill (1756-1829), in 1775.
*  Jeremiah Underhill (1755-1794), married Anna Heath (1755-1844) in 1775.
*  Sarah Underhill (1759-1838), married Moses Greenough (1740-1832) in 1789.
*  Joanna Underhill (1764-????), married Moses Preston (1764-????) in 1784.

In his will written in 1767 and proved in Rockingham County, New Hampshire on 27 May 1772, William "Haley" of Chester gave one full half of the 60 acre lot in Chester that was his original right in the Fourth Division, lot 36, to be equally divided between his six daughters[5].  "Joanna Underhill" is one of the six daughters listed.

John Underhill died on 31 July 1793 in Chester, having written his will on 15 September 1785, which was proved on 21 August 1793 in Rockingham County.  His wife Joanna is not mentioned in the will.  Perhaps her children took her in, or she was able to live on the land bequeathed by her father or on the sale of that land.

"Joanna Healey, wife of Capt. John Underhill," died in August 1809 in Chester, New Hampshire[3].  There is no burial  record for her.
