The transcription of this record is:
"130 John Smith & Ruth Cutler M. May 18, 1693"
The source citation for this record is:
"Massachusetts, U.S., Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988," indexed database and digital image, Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com), Charlestown > Archives, Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1629-1800, Marriages, page 515 (image 317 of 385), John Smith and Ruth Cutler entry, 18 May 1693.
John Smith (1667-1704) was the son of Matthew and Alice (Leader?) Smith of Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay. Ruth Cutler (1668-1758) was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Giles) Cutler of Reading, Massachusetts Bay. They had four children.
This is a Derivative Source, copied from an original town record book for Charlestown. It is Primary Information and direct Evidence of the marriage.
Their daughter, Mary Smith (1698-ca1746), married Ebenezer Phillips (1695-1746) in about 1717 in Charlestown. They are my 7th great-grandparents through their son John Phillips (1722-1800).
