Randy and Cousin Joanie in Maui -- Post 750 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite photographs:

The last time we went to Maui in August 2007, we stayed in a timeshare that was beautiful - a beach view from the room, lots of nearby restaurants and shops, and we had a rental car.  We were enjoying the west-facing beach near Kaanapali - I was sitting in beach chair on the sand, and Linda was sitting in a beach chair in the shallow water enjoying the small waves.  It was warm and breezy and quiet.

Along came a young(er) woman on the sand, and tapped me on the shoulder, and it was my first cousin Joanie from Arizona.  She and a friend were there at the same time we were, and we enjoyed their company a few times.

This was a fun trip - a drive up to Haleakala crater, the Yao Valley and Nature Center, several dinners with Joanie and her friend, a Hawaiian luau at a resort, the beach, and a tour boat snorkel trip to Monokini, a submerged crater.

This is all part of our family history!
