I looked in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings for Treasure Chest Thursday.
The treasure today is the 1704 marriage record of Joseph Colbey and Anne Bartlett in Amesbury, Massachusetts:
The marriage record:
"[COLBEY], Joseph, and Anne Bartlett, Nov. 22, 1704.*"
The source citation for this marriage record is:
Town of Amesbury, Massachusetts, Vital Records of Amesbury, Massachusetts to the End of the Year 1849 (Topsfield, Mass. : Topsfield Historical Society, 1913), Marriages, page 311, Joseph Colbey and Anne Bartlett entry, 22 November 1704.

This record is a Derivative Source, with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage of Joseph Colbey and Anne Bartlett in Amesbury, Massachusetts. The original record is probably in an Amesbury town record book that may no longer be available.
Joseph Colbey (1680-1754) was born 1 August 1680 in Amesbury, Massachusetts, the son of John nd Sarah(Eldredge) Colby. He married Anne Bartlett on 22 November 1704 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Anne Bartlett was born 29 March 1684 in Newbury, Massachusetts, the daughter of Christopher and Deborah (Weed) Bartlett. Joseph and Anne had eight children.
Joseph and Anne (Bartlett) Colby are my 7th great-grandparents. I am descended through their son Joseph Colby (1707-1768), who married 1736 Abigail Worthen (1714-????).
