It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1669 baptism entry for Joseph Angell in the Chippenham, Wiltshire  St. Andrew parish records:

The burial entry is thethird entry for October in the 1669 list:

The transcription of this record is::

"[1669] Octo[ber] Joseph the son of John Angell was bap: -- 15"

The source citation for this record is (using Evidence Explained 4th edition template):

This is an entry in the Chippenham, Wiltshire St. Andrew parish register.  It is an Original Source with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the baptism of Joseph Angell, son of John Angell.

Joseph Angell was baptized in Chippenham, Wltshire on 15 October 1669, the son of John and --?-- Angell.  He was buried on 12 April 1741 in Lacock, Wiltshire.  He maried Abigail Cutler (1674-1703) in about 1693 in Lacock.

Joseph and Abigail (Cutler) Angel  are my 7th great-grandparents; they had six children, including my 6th great-grandfather Jacob Angel (1693-1754) who married Betty Brinkworth (1697-1754) in 1718 in Lacock, Wiltshire.
