Seavers in the News -- 1979 Obituary of Pauline R. Seaver (1921-1979) of Omaha, Nebraska

Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from the  Omaha [Neb.] World-Herald newspaper dated Monday, 5 February 1979, page 22, Column 2:

This obituary provides only an age, a residence, a death date, and list of survivors, plus information about the memorial service.

Pauline Ruth Roberts (1921-1979) was born 21 September 1921 in Lewellen, Nebraska, the daughter of Andrew Guy and Mertie Elsie (Mardis) Roberts.  She died 2 February 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska.  She married Laroy Edward Seaver  (1920-2020) in 1943 in Lewellen, Nebraska.  They had five children:

* Judith Raye Seaver (1946-????)
*  David Arden Seaver (1948-2014).
*  Mark Edward Seaver (1951-????)
*  Mirian Dale Seaver (1955-2023)
*  Timothy Andrew Seaver (1957-????)

I am not related to Laroy Edward Seaver (1920-2020).  He is from a Seaver line that was in  Ireland in the early 1800s.

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this is one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person's obituary has much information about the family members.  I am glad that I can honor Pauline Ruth (Roberts) Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
