Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- What Is Your Significant Other's Matrilineal Line?

Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!


Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision. 

1)  Have you worked on the matrilineal line of your significant other?   Who are the mothers of the mothers of your significant other?

2) Tell us about that matrilineal line in your own blog post, in a comment on this post, or in a Facebook Status  post.  Please leave a link on this post if you write your own post.

Here's mine:

My significant other is Linda Joan Leland (1942-????), born in San Francisco, California, daughter of Leo Severt Leland (1911-2002) and Edna May Schaffner (1913-1979).  Her matrilineal line is:

*  Edna May Schaffner (1913-1979), born in San Francisco, California, died in San Francisco, California, daughter of Paul Frederick Schaffner (1879-1934) and Edna Catherine McKnew (1884-1974).

*  Edna Catherine McKnew (1884-1974), born in San Francisco, California, died in San Francisco, California, daughter of Elijah Pickrell McKnew (1836-1912) and Jane Whittle (1847-1921).

*  Jane Whittle (1847-1921), born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, died in San Francisco, California, daughter of Alexander Whittle (1818-1853) and Rachel Morley (1819-1861).

*  Rachel Morley (1819-1861), born in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, died in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, daughter of an unknown man and Jane Haslam (1780-1834, who was married to a Morley).

*  Jane Haslam (1780-1834), born in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, died in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, daughter of James Haslam and Betty Harrison (1760-1798).

*  Betty Harrison (1760-1798), born in Haulgh, Lancashire, died in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, daughter of parents unknown.

Linda's mitochondrial haplogroup is H1g (per 23andMe), passed down from each of these mothers of mothers.
