Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1724 Death Record of Elizabeth Metcalfe in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1724 death record of Elizabeth Metcalfe in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony:
The 1724 death entry for Elizabeth Metcalfe is the first entry in the Metcalfe entries:

The transcription of the information on this record is:

"METCALFE, Elizabeth, wid. Michaell, Sept. 2, 1724"

The source citation for this marriage record is:

Vital Records of Medfield, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1903), Deaths, page 223, Elizabeth Metcalfe entry, widow of Michaell, 2 September 1724.

This is a Derivative Source record (because it is a compilation of information copied from an original town record book) with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the name, death date and place of the death of Elizabeth Metcalfe.

Elizabeth (Bowers) Metcalf (1654-1724) was born 24 May 1654 in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the daughter of John and Mary (--?--) Bowers. She married Michael Metcalf (1650-1691 ) on 21 December 1676 in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony.  He was the son of John and Mary (Chickering) Metcalf.  She died 2 September 1724 at age 70 in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony.   Michael and Elizabeth (Bowers) Metcalf had 5 children.

Michael and Elizabeth (Bowers) Metcalf are my 8th great-grandparents, through their son Michael Metcalf (1680-1761) who married Lydia White (1686-????) in 1705 in Mendon, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
