CGSSD Mini-Fair on Saturday, 18 October

The Computer Genealogy Society of San Diego meets on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 9:00 am to noon. CGSSD hosts a mini-fair this month! Select from presentations on current technology and software for genealogists during 2 sessions. No user groups this month.

9:00 - Brief announcements followed by Session 1 (choose one class):

• Corlee Morris - Hosting a Family DNA Project.
• Gene Powell - Preparing for Safe Flying in the Clouds (Computer security for web browsing and e-mailing)

10:15 - Break, refreshments.

10:30 - Announcements followed by Session 2 (choose one class):

• Everett Ireland - Preparing for a Trip to the Family History Library.
• Dona Ritchie - Making Genealogy Photo Books and Scrapbooks.

We meet at the Robinson Auditorium complex on the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) campus in La Jolla. From North Torrey Pine Road turn at Pangea Drive into UCSD. Free parking is available in the parking garage on the left; use any A, B, or S space. Signs will mark directions to our meeting room.

Unfortunately, I cannot attend this event because of the CVGS seminar on the same day.
