Hey San Diego area genealogy and family history adventurers - there is a FREE all-day Saturday workshop at Bonita-Sunnyside Community Library (4375 Bonita Road in Bonita, Calif.) on May 2nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The workshop will be in the Community Room on the west side of the library.
This workshop is presented by the Education Committee of the Chula Vista Genealogical Society.
The Speakers and subjects will be:
1) 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.: Randy Seaver, on "Exploring FamilySearch Records"
11:15 a.m. to 12:00 noon: Workshop, with problem solving and Q&A
12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.: Lunch, and Door prize drawing.
2) 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.: Shirley Becker, on "Overcoming Scotoma! Starting Over!"
3) 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.: Bethel Williams, on "Southern Research"
4) 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.: Susi Pentico, on "Archives, Libraries and Societies"
This will be a Hands-on Event for all, with help from CVGS members.
Please bring your: Brickwall, a laptop, pencil and paper, and your research questions. If you do not have a laptop come anyway -- you will learn a lot.
Be ready to do hands-on events for each topic to learn more methods of researching your ancestral families.
Bring your own lunch or go out for lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.
