Best of the Genea-Blogs - Week of 21 to 27 November 2021

Scores of genealogy and family history bloggers write thousands of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.

My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.

Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:

*  Why are Occupations Important to Genealogists? by Judith Batchelor on Genealogy Jude.

Of Patents and Deeds by Judy G. Russell on The Legal Genealogist.

RM and the FamilySearch Tree by Marcia Philbrick on Heartland Genealogy.

Discover Your Ancestral Hometown's History by DiAnn Iamarino on Fortify Your Family Tree.

*  Book Review: Learning More About Your Ancestors Online by Marian B. Wood on Climbing My Family Tree.

Four Things I’m Doing To Break My Brick Wall by Ellen Thompson-Jennings on Hound on the Hunt.

*  Ambassador’s Corner – Kirsty Gray by the writer on The Hidden Branch.

*  RootsTech 2022: Behind the Scenes with the RootsTech Team by Sunny Morton on the FamilySearch Blog.

*  New DNA Match List Features at MyHeritage by Kitty Cooper on Kitty Cooper's Blog.

*  Applying What I've Learned in My One-Place Study to Genealogy and Genealogy Research:  A Summary by Linda Stufflebean on Empty Branches on the Family Tree.

Here are pick posts by other geneabloggers this week:

*  Friday's Family History Finds by Linda Stufflebean on Empty Branches on the Family Tree.

*  Friday Fossicking 26th Nov 2021 by Crissouili on That Moment In Time.

* This Week's Creme de la Creme - November 27, 2021  by Gail Dever on Genealogy a la Carte.

Saturday Serendipity (November 27, 2021) by John D. Tew on Filiopietism Prism.

Readers are encouraged to go to the blogs listed above and  read their articles, and add the blogs to your Favorites, Feedly, another RSS feed, or email if you like what you read. Please make a comment to them also - all bloggers appreciate feedback on what they write.

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I currently am reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.

Randy, Thank you for this week's inclusion on your list. I've really enjoyed my one-place study, have learned a lot about the people ho lived in the village and, much to my surprise, learned how faulty records can be.
