Findmypast Friday: Records for Schools and Southwark Released

 I received this information from Findmypast today:

==========================================

Records for schools and Southwark released this Findmypast Friday

Britain, School and University Students

 New this week, these 151,918 records span nearly 700 years. They could help you uncover details about your ancestor’s school or university days. As the register books were published independently and for a variety of purposes, the details you’ll find will differ. You may find attendance information, biographical detail, home addresses, and even the names of staff.

England Roman Catholic Parish Congregational Records

 A further 1,010 records and images have been added for the Diocese of Southwark, for Roehampton, St Joseph, covering the years 1870 to 1920. Be sure to brush up on your Latin terms to get the most out of this collection, which includes confirmations and benefactors.

England Roman Catholic Parish Marriages

94 new records for Roehampton (St Joseph) and Peckham (Our Lady of Sorrows) have been released. These include original images, and cover 1882 to 1913.

England Roman Catholic Parish Baptisms

 And to round off the new Southwark Catholic records, there are another 9,948 records to explore, covering the years 1871 to 1923. These are for the same churches as the marriages above. They should help you uncover key biographical detail – the building blocks of your family tree.
