Treasure Chest Thursday - 1713 Baptism of Esther Bulkeley (1713-1770) in Fairfield, Connecticut

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1713 Baptism record of Esther Bulkeley in the Fairfield, Connecticut Church Records:

The baptism record is the first item listed as Esther:

The transcript of this record is:

"[Bulkeley] Esther, d. Joseph, Jr., bp. Dec. 20, 1713"

The source citation for the marriage record is (using Evidence Explained 4th edition template):

Fairfield, Connecticut, Church Records, Esther Bulkeley baptism, 20 December 1713, daughter of Joseph Jr. imaged, "U.S., Church Record Abstracts 1630-1920," Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/394413:3032 : accessed 10 July 2024); Volume 033, Fairfield, First Congregational Church, 1694-1806, Connecticut, page 20, image 23 of 161; original book at Connecticut State Library, Hartford, Conn., imaged and indexed by Ancestry.com.

This is a Derivative Source record (because it is compiled from an original church record) with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the baptism of Esther Bulkeley on 20 December 1713 in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Esther Bulkeley (1713-1770), the daughter of Joseph and Esther (Bulkley) Bulkley, was born in about 1713 in Fairfield, baptized on 20 December 1713 in Fairfield, and died in about 1770 in Fairfield She married John Hill (1707-1759), who was born 29 June 1707 in Fairfield, Connecticut, the son of John and Jane (--?--) Hill.  John died on 17 December 1759 in Fairfield, Connecticut.  They had as many as 10 children.

John and Esther (Bulkeley) Hill are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Sarah Hill (1742-1832), who married George Wakeman (1740-1814).
