Aurelius Brigham[1–4], the second child and son of Lambert Brigham and Sophia Buck, was born on 3 February 1830 in Sterling, Worcester, Massachusetts.[1]
His father died in 1834, and his mother married, secondly, Thomas J. Newton soon after, and they had two children. Aurelius may have lived with Brigham relatives during his childhood and teenage years.
Aurelius Brigham and Olive Merriam Wilson were married on 10 September 1853 in Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts.[2]
Olive Merriam Wilson, daughter of James Wilson and Persis Bruce, was born on 12 March 1834 in Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts.[5] She died on 21 November 1873 at the age of 39 in Sterling, Worcester, Massachusetts.[6]
Aurelius Brigham and Olive Merriam Wilson had the following children:
- Edward Lorenzo Brigham, born 22 December 1853, West Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts; married Leola Wentworth Aspinwall, 29 August 1906, Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts.
- John Willis Brigham was born on 4 November 1855 in Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts. He died on 31 March 1860 at the age of 4 in Uxbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts.
- Edith Lavina Brigham was born on 10 October 1859 in West Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts. She died on 11 June 1878 at the age of 18 in Sterling, Worcester, Massachusetts. She was buried after 11 June 1878 in Sterling, Worcester, Massachusetts., United States.
- William Anderson Brigham, born 13 February 1863, West Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts; married Ella C. Ripley, 8 June 1889, Leominster, Worcester, Massachusetts; died 7 January 1933, Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts.
- Albert Alonzo Brigham, born 5 September 1865, West Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts; married Mary Ambrosina Glassey, 22 August 1889, Clinton, Worcester, Massachusetts; died 26 November 1936, Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts.
Aurelius Brigham registered for the military draft in June 1863 in in West Boylston, Worcester, Massachusetts.[3]
He died of valvular disease and heart dropsy on 26 July 1878 at the age of 48 in Sterling, Worcester, Massachusetts.[4] The death record says he was a shoemaker. He may have been buried in West Boylston, Massachusetts.
