It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.
The treasure today is the 1690 death record of Jonathan Adams in the Medfield, Massachusetts Bay vital record book:The bi rth record is in the middle of the page:
The transcript of this record is:
"[ADAMS] Jonathan Sr., July 28, 1690."
The source citation for the marriage record is:
Vital Records of Medfield, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1903), Deaths, page 190, Jonathan Adams Sr. death entry, 28 July 1690.
This is a Derivative Source record (because it is compiled from an original town record) with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the death of Jonathan Adams, Sr. on 28 July 1690 in Medfield, Massachusetts Bay.
Jonathan Adams was born before 19 April 1614 in Barton St. David, Somerset, the son of Henry and Edith (Squire) Adams. He married (1) Joan Close (1615-1664) on 7 February 1639 in Boltonsborough, Somerset, England, and they had 3 children. Jonathan married (2) Elizabeth Holman (1644-1719) in about 1664, and they had 4 children.
Jonathan and Elizabeth (Holman) Adams are my 9th great-grandparents, through their daughter, Elizabeth Adams (1666-1719) who married John Partridge (1656-1743) in about 1690.
