I've used FREE Artificial Intelligence tools to create biographies, poems and songs about genealogy and family history in the recent past, including:
- "The Tale of Devier Smith" in AI-Created Rhyme and Song
- Another Genealogy Poem and Song From Artificial intelligence - "Family Roots"
- I Can't Resist Creating a Genealogy Song... "Roots Run Deep"
- For Independence Day -- The Ballad of Asahel Read
- Genealogy Poem and Song From Artificial Intelligence - "Helix Of Our Souls"
I have several more - all of my AI-generated poems are in my blog posts above, and my AI-created songs are in a list at Suno (see https://suno.com/@skeletalvenue315).
This week, I wanted a poem and song about my 4th great-grandfather, Martin Carringer (1758-1835), a Revolutionary War soldier and a first settler of Mercer County, Pennsylvania. I had Microsoft Designer create an image to depict Martin Carringer's life in about 1810 western Pennsylvania (I tried hard to get 8 children in this image, but failed!):
Recently, I requested Perplexity (an AI tool similar to ChatGPT-4o, but different) to create a poem, and had Suno create a song, about the life of my 4th great-grandparent, Martin Carringer (1758-1835), using essentially the same prompt as I used for his biography (posted in Perplexity Rocks as an AI Genealogy Report Tool).
Here is the Perplexity poem:
MARTIN CARRINGER: A REVOLUTIONARY LIFE
Born in Pennsylvania's rolling hills,German blood coursing through his veins,Young Martin grew with frontier skills,As revolution stirred its refrains.
In Westmoreland, he took the call,Eighth Regiment, a private brave,Down rivers, provisions to haul,For freedom's cause, his youth he gave.
With Mary Houx, a family grew,Eight children blessed their humble home,To Mercer County, they then flew,In Sandy Creek, they chose to roam.
A cabin built with calloused hands,Two hundred acres, hard-earned land,From war-torn soldier to farming man,His legacy took root and spanned.
In will and deed, his sons he blessed,Henry and George, the land to share,His earthly toils at last to rest,In Kelso's field, laid with care.
A patriot's tale, in stone inscribed,Eighty years lived, a life well-spent,In history's pages, his deeds transcribed,Martin Carringer, a life content.

That's a great photo that AI produced for you. It's amazing what AI can do. I've had a little play around with it but nothing serious yet. #geneabloggers
