This obituary provides a brief summary of the life of Cecil E. Seaver, including his family, work history, military service, and associations.
Cecil Edgar Seaver (1916-1980) was born 11 November 1916 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of John Walter and Viola Elizabeth (Lewis) Seaver. He died 16 March 1980 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Cecil married Virginia Anthony (1920-2008) on 3 January 1940 in Independence, Virginia. They had three children:
- Mary Cecelia Seaver (1941-????), married 1967 Charles Carroll Whitehurst (1944-2019)
- Viola Harlene Seaver (1942-2016), married Francis Joseph Eberenz (1943-1998).
- Farrell Jean Seaver (1946-????), married Robert M. Norton (1946-2017)
Cecil Edgar Seaver (1916-1980) is not a Seaver cousin of mine. He is descended from Henry and Elizabeth (--?--) Seaver who were in Scott County, Virginia in 1770.
There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this is one of them. Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person's obituary provides information about the person's family, occupation, and associations. I am glad that I can honor Cecil Edgar Seaver today.
You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
